Minnesota Business Venture 2012

What is it?
Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) is a FUN, week-long residential program designed to introduce high school students to the business world through first-hand experiences.

Annual Teen Job Fair at Hennepin County Library

This upcoming Saturday, March 24, from noon to 3:00pm, teens from all over the Twin Cities will come to the Hennepin County Library to scope out some options for summer jobs.

This is the 6th year they have held the Teen Job Fair, and last year they had over 1000 teens attend and over 30 exhibitors!

Rock Your Block will have a table to sign up teens for summer job opportunities–come check it out!

Teens Rocked the Water Station at the Get Lucky 7K Today!

Over 9000 runners flew through the Get Lucky 7K in Minneapolis this morning, decked out in all shades of green and funky hair, socks, and tutus!

Rock Your Block worked a water station at the race, just before the 4K mark. Atypical of a normal mid-March morning in Minnesota, the temperature was pushing almost 80 degrees, so water was definitely in high demand!

We had a team of 33 workers pouring and passing out water to the runners, cheering them on, and raking the cups off the course. Amongst these teens were the Burnsville High School Girls Track Team, who was using the event as a team-building activity and a fundraiser for their season, which just started last week.
